“I don’t want a black overcoat. It’s about looking at those staples, the pieces we all turn to and need as women, but I want more out of them, I want to say something with my clothes” says Stella McCartney referring to her more minimalistic and layered Pre-fall collection. For me 2 key-words, that gives me cravings! I like the clean styling,  the ribbed knit and the small details like brass buttons down the front on the knitted dresses – for sure not the most eye-catching collection, but clothes we all want to wear right now!

The Dorothee Schumacher FW 2015 show was presented in a beautiful house called Villa Elisabeth in Berlin. The wooden walls and floors worked perfectly together with the collection, that had many 70′s references. The warm orange and red colors was stunningly eye-catching and added a feminine twist to the raw denim, knee- boots and biker-details.

I went for a pretty minimalistic and yet feminine look with a belted A-line skirt together with a touched in crispy white jacket and matching shoes.

Frida Giannini for Gucci work out the perfect balance between the 1970′s glam and a deluxe everyday look. For instance the suede kimono jackets together with a pair of loose jeans, a silk scarf tied around neck, suede boots and a matching waist belt to give it a feminine definition. The colors worked out great together with the casual  silhouettes and exclusive accessories.

I really liked the more classic pieces from Acne Studios SS15 collections with a 1970′s tailoring, silk dresses and open shirts. The accessories gave it a more fun twist with the golden embellished loafers, chunky golden chains, silk scarfs and leather briefs – need to get my hands on those loafers.

The color palette at Chloé was stunning and very 70′s with variations of brown, camel, cream and denim. Floaty long dresses, voluminous shirts, tailored suede jackets and unwashed denim made the collection super balanced between an feminine exclusive feeling to a more wearable effortless look.  Again the accessories really enhanced the 70′s vibe with suede gladiator sandals and brown croco bags.

Besides catching a bit of sun and enjoying the amazing weather here in Dubai, I’m actually here for new fashion event called The Style Gallery. It is a platform for Scandinavian fashion & accessory brands- initiated by Business Sweden and Madeleine Trolle and developed by Fashion Exclusive UAE. I really like the idea of supporting Scandinavian fashion and this is for sure an amazing opportunity for all the brands.

t was great to meet so many supporters from the Arabian press, amongst others sweet Caterina Minthe from Arabia.

“Say My Name”…  I was more then happy when Rag&Bone wanted to customize one of the name-embroidered jackets seen on the runway last season at Jourdan Dunn and Georgia May Jagger amongst others.. How cool is that? The speckled black and white fabric gives the sporty jacket a feminine and elegant contrast, which I really like!
